Contemporary garden with tropical planting in Richmond, West London (TW10)

To meet the contemporary and tropical-themed brief for this Richmond garden, we put in tree ferns, banana plants and various types of palm, alongside Ilex crenata topiary, agapanthus and phormiums.

The colour palette was restricted to green and white, with a smattering of blue.

Basalt was used for paving, steps and coping. Other distinctive hard landscape features included a Hydra sculpture and an Aqualens water feature, plus a pizza oven.
