“Jane was brilliant because she listened so well to what I wanted and then designed a garden that was so much more fitting and beautiful than I could have ever imagined. We have large glass doors facing the garden so we wanted the garden to have a relationship to the indoor design. Jane was excited that we had lime green and orange in the house as it gave her the opportunity to consider variegated leaves and some colourful orange flowers. I have not gardened since I was at school and I've just retired! So Jane also thought about what would be OK for a novice to manage and would give me colour all year round. I can't tell you how much I enjoy the garden and the number of people who have visited the house and commented on our gorgeous garden. “We chose Jane based on her empathy, professionalism, knowledge and attention to detail. She took in to account our budget and style. She gave detailed advice so our builders could do the landscaping (saving money on a landscaper) and had an excellent preparation team (Kim Pringle) to prepare the garden for planting. Jane and her team were lovely to work with and all had an amazing can do attitude. Everything was in budget and where ever Jane and Kim could save us money they did. This really helped with a large build and garden design. Jane has sent us information regarding after care, mulching and pruning. “From the first meeting with Jane, her extensive experience, knowledge and passion for creating stunning gardens were clear. The brief we discussed was to transform a minimalist tropical garden, into something more in keeping with an English country garden, adding hints of the Mediterranean! Jane listened to exactly what was important to us, and reflected this in a very detailed design and plan, incorporating many colours, textures and layers to cover fences, all with incredible attention to detail. Once the design was agreed, Jane's connections with landscapers proved valuable, and made for a seamless project to prepare the garden ready for the plant out. This was overseen by Jane, along with her very experienced team, who were equally passionate for creating a beautiful space. Even at the stage of planting, Jane advised a few tweaks in the plan, taking into consideration aspect, layering and line of sight from our open plan rear of the house lounge. With floor to ceiling windows, the garden has become a work of art to gaze out upon. Jane has followed up with email aftercare advice, as well as a couple of site visits. “Jane came into our garden project that had come unstuck half way through and was completely brilliant. A traditional lawn garden had been completely taken out for one that was meant to be dog friendly, with York stone and borders. The previous builders had done a very poor job without any drainage - or plants left - and Jane, together with my fantastic gardener, Kim, turned what was becoming a disaster into a completely wonderful London garden with lush borders and exotic Acers resulting in a mature garden within a year! Jane's knowledge of plants is masterfully forensic and detailed. “We are so lucky to have found Jane! Jane listened carefully to our requirements and came up with the most perfect design. The different levels of our garden have been cleverly dealt with, the drainage has been thought through and there is clean access to all parts of the garden. All the contractors that Jane suggested were excellent, from the garden surveyor to the landscaping company, and everything ran smoothly due to Jane’s forward planning and the strong relationships she has with others. Jane was happy to tweak the design when we suggested a few minor alterations. She is extremely knowledgeable and if there is anything she doesn’t know or hasn’t come across, she will look it up or seek advice. She has sent us so many helpful suggestions for general maintenance and looking after our new pond. It was clear to us how much thought Jane puts into her designs when it came to the planting plan, which accommodated all of our own perennials and shrubs and our mature trees alongside Jane’s new plants, which will ensure that the garden looks good all year round.
